2016 Music Highlights
2016, you were a musical beast. This year was full of loud guitars, heart melting tunes and laughter. It's hard to narrow down my favorites*, but here we go:

Moore Family // Ravenna Park, Seattle
One sunny June afternoon I had the joy of photographing little Eliot and his family. We started in their sweet Ravenna home and took a brief ride in their “Adventure Van” to the green Wonderland (read: park) nearby.
Sasquatch! 2016 Artist Portraits + Photo Recap
The Gorge out in eastern Washington is one of my happy places. The view, the sunsets, the desert magic. This year I hit the road again to cover the Sasquatch! Music Festival for Seattle Met.
C + T // West Seattle
Christine and Tim decided to use their adorable West Seattle home for their engagement session. While their cats remained mostly stealth during our time, Christine’s laughter and Tim’s jovial spirit filled the house. Style wise they said they compromised at times while decorating their place, and then even created a new paint color by mixing two tones together.
When I asked if they had a moment when they knew it was "game on" with the other, when they knew they had found "the one", they both took a minute to think. Tim said that for him it was when he realized that the house they had bought was only home because Christine was there. It wasn't the things in it, or the location- it was her. And isn't that just what love is all about?
Whidbey Island // Wedding
One of the perks of having a large Seattle Wedding Photographer community is that I get the opportunity to second shoot for many of my friends during peak season. Last May I trekked out to Fireseed Catering on Whidbey Island with the lovely Jenny Linquist and had a ball photographing these two lovebirds. Give me some trees + dancing light and I'm a happy camper!
The Antoniello Family // Carkeek Park
"Family hug!" Maisie called out, and as Darren pulled them all in close together Liam let out an excited giggle. It has been such a joy watching these two grow into parenthood and love on their little guy. I'm positive that the Family Hug I documented is only one of so many thousands that Liam has experienced during his first year of life. I was also thrilled that my furry pal Portland was also able to come out to their mini family session in the park. This is photographic proof that yes, you can have a family session with a one year old and a dog!
