Summer signed out with a bang at Bumbershoot Music & Arts Festival over Labor Day weekend. I was out again for the Seattle Weekly weaving below the Space Needle catching some of my favorite acts as well as falling in love with new ones.

My personal highlight was Death Cab For Cutie playing their album Transatlanticism track by track to help celebrate it's 10th Anniversary as well as Barsuk Records 15th. In 2002 I attended Bumbershoot and walked into Key Arena as Death Cab was playing 'Photobooth', which ended up being my introduction to the band. Eleven years later I was in the photo pit of the same arena at the same festival shooting them live for the first time as they performed an album that now holds a special place in my heart. Much to my delight they played 'Photobooth' in the second half of their set, a moment that reminded me the crazy road my trusty camera has taken me down and leaving me excited to see what's next to come.

Thanks again Bumbershoot, you were a blast!
