Sometimes when we decide to push ourselves to try something new, we end up with a different outcome than we had originally intended. That proved true with Arianna when she decided that she wanted to run a half marathon and asked Allen, her friend, co-worker, and an avid marathon runner, to help her train. They got to know each other over long talks during sweaty runs, and it wasn't until they saw each other "in normal clothes" that things really started to click. They are both professors, both full of passion and inspiring faith, and from the time I spent with them around Greenlake and Kerry Park (one of Arianna's favorite spots) their teamwork and mutual mission is obvious. I can't wait to photograph their nuptials in August.
